When describing
his debut album, This is the Style,
producer Kevin Riley has a difficult
time explaining his sound. When asked
who he sounds like, he contemplates
the question, then shakes his head.
"It's basically me. It's how I express
myself musically. I want to achieve
something that grows with time and
will continue to get better with time.
I'm not trying to be what's current
or what's "hot" at the moment. I don't
want to be bubblegum. I want to be
something that lasts forever—like
