Thanks for checking out our website. We're here to bring awareness to those
great games called "Full-Motion Video" games or FMV games. We played 'em in the arcade and, later on, on Sega CD, 3DO, and home emulators. These games like Dragon's Lair, Night Trap, and Mad Dog McCree were movies that you could control.
While FMV games had a dedicated following, the general consensus was that they were low-quality movies with bad acting and very little interactive control. This was true for some games, but others were very interactive and entertaining; often pushing the boundaries of the technology.
The budget to produce these games kept growing and growing until they were no longer profitable. As the head of a major FMV studio once said, "It was an abject failure."
As many of you know, the new generation of video game systems like XBox 360, Nintendo Wii, and PS3 all have the ability to play games from the past. So let's not forget all those great "movie games" of yesteryear and let's bring a little bad acting to this new generation of gaming.
Sincerely,
Robert Paulson
